A Live Dialogue on Civilian Protection, Accountability & Peace
This online event is FREE and open to everyone.
The date and time may change depending on speaker availability. Registered attendees will be informed in advance.
Sudan is facing one of the world’s most severe humanitarian crises. Ongoing fighting between the Sudanese Armed Forces (SAF) and the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) has led to mass displacement, civilian casualties, famine risk, and the collapse of essential services.
This live dialogue is part of Pledge4Peace’s “End Sudan Crisis Now” campaign and is designed as a peaceful and moderated conversation focused on civilian protection and pathways toward peace.
This is a structured, moderated dialogue where differing viewpoints are explored respectfully.
Pledge4Peace acts as a neutral mediator. The purpose is to examine the crisis through humanitarian, diplomatic, and civilian-centered lenses, and to identify peaceful, lawful solutions.
This dialogue will feature four speakers, each representing a distinct perspective:
• One speaker representing a Sudanese civilian or humanitarian perspective
• One speaker representing Sudanese Armed Forces perspective
• One speaker representing the paramilitary Rapid Support Forces perspective
• One international law expert
Each participant is free to hold and defend their position, provided it remains nonviolent, respectful, and grounded in dialogue.
This summit follows a multi-phase structure inspired by international peace conferences:
1. Opening Context: Moderator sets shared principles, rules, and objectives
2. Perspective Statements: Each participant presents their position without interruption
3. Guided Dialogue: Moderated questions on the topic. Everyone will have equal time and structured responses
4. Clarification & Reflection: Participants respond to key points raised by other speakers
5. Public Participation: Live audience voting on peace-centered solutions concluded by the speakers
6. Closing Pathways Forward: Summary of key insights
The Sudan crisis is not only a regional emergency, it is a global humanitarian failure.
Its impacts include:
• Millions of civilians displaced internally and across borders
• Severe food insecurity and famine risk
• Attacks on hospitals, aid workers, and civilian infrastructure
• Long-term regional instability
When violence overwhelms diplomacy, civilians bear the cost. Peace requires sustained international attention, lawful mediation, and pressure for civilian protection.
After the dialogue, participants and attendees are encouraged (but not required) to:
• Vote on peaceful, civilian-centered solutions
• Add their own proposals for humanitarian access and conflict resolution
